An OATH... to KEEP the record straight...

"But since I may never receive anything for the contribution, I would at LEAST like to preserve my 'authorial status'... esp. if it becomes a household or industry standard word.

Not every wordsmith/wordmerchant gets to make such a contribution and it would be nice to preserve the claim. The right word can go a long way in marketing and identifyability."

Time for an OATH: (lol)... it'll be ok, parson, trust me!

OK... time for all of us USSE/SSTP longs who have endured the journey thus far to take a solemn pledge:

No matter whatever comes of the world wide spread of Vertroleum fame, once it gets into Wikepedia... we will ALL pledge to monitor the content and keep the story TRUE to the facts:

"Vertroleum is the carefully crafted, environmentally correct, politically correct... not to mention etymologically correct... term for the product of the Rivera Process that was coined by parsonmac. The parson provided the new etymologically precise term to JR and graciously stepped aside allowing USSE/SSTP to trademark the term. He also produced a very inciteful description of the wonders of the Rivera Process taking one of nature's complex processes and accelerating it to turn biomass into biocrude in a mere 8.5 minutes!"

LOL... we'll let the parson edit it to provide his real identity for all the world to see and know if he chooses to sacrifice his privacy for fame!

*chuckling* had you worried!!!!? Not too bad an idea from a loud, obnoxious, churlish curmudgeon... even if I do say so myself!

(Of course, it could be all pretense... or a case of mistaken identity!
