Which of the 68 are we gearing up to produce in May????????

We all have to agree that bio-gasoline or Vetroleum is not going to be produced and sold for various reasons; EPA, maunfactures, etc that have been discussed and debated.

JR has never stated that we have all approvals and testing done and will be selling at your local stations this summer.

So, once all 4 tubes are complete whether it be May 1st or August 1st, what & who are buying this product???

So, once all 4 tubes are complete whether it be May 1st or August 1st, what & who are buying this product???

No one can know for sure Double, until the PR's hit, but remember the photos taken/posted recently of that huge row of FRAC tanks lined up on the property? Those are there for a reason!

My guess is, when the four reactors are completed, we've already got buyers for the biocrude, the various vertroleum distillates and the Vertro-Char, VertroGanic, or whatever they're going to call the fertilizer.

As long as the green crude and the distillates meet current ASTM standards, they may be able to be mixed in percentages without the full-blown permitting process that would probably be required of a brand-new fuel... I think the jury's still out on that.

I'm also assuming that a lot more of the necessary testing/certifying is going on in the background than we're privy too.

We'll know in just a few more weeks I think!

With the city commissioners there last week for the big hoopla, JR should offer to sell JR juice to the city for $ 1.00 gallon. Boy will that get the attention of the big boys in town.

NCGA White Paper Focuses on Impact of a More Globalized Fertilizer Industry (4-14-08)

In a newly released white paper, the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) takes a deeper look at one of the contributors to high costs corn growers face when making planting decisions – fertilizer.

“Our growers are concerned about the rising cost of farming in the United States,” said NCGA President Ron Litterer. “It’s important for us and them to get a handle on why costs are going up and how they can impact future business decisions.”

The NCGA paper is based on an Internet-based seminar that featured presentations by Dr. Harry Vroomen, vice president of economic services for The Fertilizer Institute, and Ken Nyiri, principle consultant for British Sulphur Consultants. One of the chief issues affecting both price and demand is the increased globalization of the market, as well as higher energy costs, especially for natural gas.

The report notes, for example, that natural gas, which supplies hydrogen for the production of ammonia and has historically accounted for 70 percent of the cost of ammonia production, has seen its price quadruple since 1999 – from $2 to $8 per million BTUs, ballooning its share of the total ammonia production cost to 85 to 90 percent. Since then, 26 ammonia plants have closed and U.S. production capacity has decreased by 40 percent.

When it comes to globalization, the United States has seen an increase in the import of nutrients such as nitrogen, and the cost of energy impacts this as well. The report accounts how transportation and distribution costs have jumped, driving up the price of nitrogen since the U.S. has turned to global sources. Ocean freight fees rose from 300 percent to 400 percent from January 2003 to 2008, and shipping anhydrous ammonia by rail has almost doubled since January of 2005.
