Here is an important point that has been overlooked.

True, news like this "looks bad", especially since it IS recent and most of us who have been around here for awhile LIKE Keith. I've had several exchanges with him personally myself and I think he's a FINE fellow. I am very sorry that things worked out for him like they did. I wish he and his family well and pray God's blessings upon them. I believe he really wants to do the right thing.

But if objectivity demands that we be kept aware of potential problems such as this, it also demands we don't leap to conclusions prematurely or unfairly.

No matter how bad it looks at first glance, these four points are ALSO true and NO LESS compelling:

1) It is STILL only one side of the story.
2) We STILL don't know all the facts in this case.
3) We STILL have no idea to what extent (if any), misinformation, misunderstanding, or miscommunication may have played a role in this whole scenario.
4) One is STILL innocent until proven guilty in this country of ours.

Is there reason to be concerned? Yes... naturally!

Is there reason to remain dispassionate, not overreact, and patiently wait for the verdict? Yes... of course!

True objectivity at this point acknowledges the possibility of guilt.

So here's another apology. I had forgotten about this post of yours which does address the Keith Mazer affidavit although it sort of sets it aside rather than opens meanings. However, it does meet it in the open which is more than anyone else.

Nor did I mean to impugn (hah! outspelled you again!) your motives. Since I've been posting last May, I've been attacked much more for posting on your behalf than I have Ron's behalf.

BTW... I have noticed that most folks DO choose sides in something like this. I've brought no small amount of grief my way by continuing to admit both pro and con and by maintaining cordial/friendly/respectful relationships with many on both sides. So I draw a lot of fire from both sides. Most posters draw fire only from "the other side".

One DOES get run over more often by staying in the "middle of the road".

Nonetheless, I'm not going to cut off my friends just 'cause it would make other people happy.

And this is the only 'rugged' exchange I've ever had with you. It's just that I HAVE wrestled with why you often only mention the facts or an analysis or implication of said fact point in one direction when there might well be another side or aspect to it.

But you have answered my questions to an extent and I DO appreciate it (as always).

Upon further reflection (sometimes I overlook the obvious I know), it's probably easier to list the negatives than the positives of practically ANY pink sheet stock since virtually none of them ever really succeed. Certainly not in the way JR's has (at least) a remote chance of succeeding, and even then it will still be against the odds.

Oh... and I did not know about WHY the DR deal derailed, so I can see how that would cast the shadow of conflict of interest over what's going on now...

Much appreciated, believe me and thank you. As to why the DR "derailed", it didn't. The man stood up at the closing ceremonies and thanked JR, gave him his doctorate and said that the DR looked forward to his revolutionary fuel and power plant and looked forward to joining him when there was a full commercially operational, permitted electric plant that their engineers and financial people could examine for potential DR use. That earned a $6 billion deal projection from you know who.

JMHO, but that's exactly what I expect from the CA people too. Basically, call us when you have your act together. Remember, the DR is a Parlacen member. Of course, it's certainly possible that billions dollars will be tossed about for headline value. And, nodding to your neck of the woods, a miraculous demo deal could happen -- the pot at the end of some rainbow.

As to my spelling, I'm an Ivy League graduate so I never had to learn.

Been a while since we have seen full campus pictures, all four sides...how about a picture of the Amspec office to see if testing equipment is on site....recent pictures look like not many bodies around......has construction stopped??? Don't see heater wraps being put on any new reactors????
