What's with oil moving up so fast these last three years? I've heard the China/Indian and weak dollar arguments, but it's doubled in 2 years. I’m huge investor in SSTP/USSE and whole bunch of other alternative fuels companies, but this increase this fast will kill economy. It’s too fast of increase for business and to adjust to this shock.

My guess: Be on the look out very positive production news in the next 4 weeks.

I watched a CNN special last night that was repeated this past Sunday night (it had aired previously) called We Were Warned: Out of Gas.

If you haven't seen it, you should try to see if it will be repeated again.

Everyone, regardless of your opinion on these two companies, should watch the program and more than that, should be rooting for these and any other companies to turn on the switch that puts things in motion for the US to start reducing our dependence on foreign oil.

As the program echoes my sentiments, ethanol is not the way.

It seems Brazil (and I've known this for some time myself having read it elsewhere) took the time to plan 25-30 years ago and now does not import one drop of oil.

I thought the US was supposed to be the lead dog.

BTW... go back four/six weeks and scan the posts here and you'll find a LOT of good stuff to keep in mind from both points of view. While we're in such a holding pattern, good conversation's not a BAD alternative to repeating the same ole' DD over and over and over again!
