is a day wasted! (there are exceptions to the rule of course)

In case you haven't caught it yet KaBoom People, here's a terrific article at:

Biofuels Digest - The world’s most widely-read biofuels daily

You have to scroll halfway down the page, but there's some additional reporting on our progress with the jet fuel project. At some point in time, a major media outlet's gonna' have to pick up on this...

'Course, I'd prefer to get 'listed' on a major stock exchange via full reporting, but that probably won't happen until we can P.R. a huge piece of news that could possibly offset (to some degree) the negative hit we might have to take from full disclosure.

The Baytown Sun

Here's a link to the Baytown Sun's front page, here's how the community got it on their front porch this morning!

The Baytown Sun

And here's the full article:

The Baytown Sun

As Fairway put it over at the Village. "The Rhino Has Landed."

You've got to hand it to John... he's moving forward come heck or high water!

Atta' boy Mr. Rivera !!!

Between this article and the Biofuels Digest, we've got some decent material to ponder going into the weekend....

Reporting cost $31million

Parsonmac, what take on the fact that our Rhino quoted $31million to date for the research developement and progress to date. That figure must be significant pointer that the accounts might be somewhat balanced to come up with that figure.I wonder if the accounting has or is near completion. The time scale from my last enquiry the accounts should be getting close to completion, or am I as usual over optomistic, which by the way I don't mind being.

WELL DONE MR RIVERA LOOKING FORWARD GREAT.

Gloworm.

I'm sure his years of research cost millions... but whose millions?

As to the EXACT figure, my WAG (Wild Adenoid Guess, just in case Paul reads this), he's either relying on memory and just rounding off, or he doesn't have any idea either.

Hmmm...

I'm remembering a "good news" radio program pilot a few years back that was similar to an "all good news all the time" T.V. program. Both shows eventually bit the dust. The reason?

Too darn much niceness! If it bleeds it leads... only excitement of that magnitude keeps the masses entertuned!

After all the carnage at the Village yesterday I was wondering, "Is this KaBoom thread too nice to succeed?

Naaaaaahhh........

We'll just have to keep Glowy and our few regulars who've posted recently to keep contributing, and maybe we can get Grant and Mickey to lend a hand, I know THEY like us.....

Have a great weekend all!!!

Oh... P.S. to answer Al's query to me earlier...

I know you were incredulous Al that I posted the news articles earlier and judged it good news and you were a little baffled.

It's easy Al! You don't believe in JR at all! I actually believe in the man and honestly believe he's making some progress.

At the very LEAST... I WANT JR to succeed... and I WANT his product to be part of our country's solution to our energy problem.

Don't you Al? Even if past performance/history doesn't 'permit' you to believe... do you, in your better moments, at least WANT JR and his company to succeed?

I guess that's the problem with some of the real negative posters... some may actually NOT WANT JR to succeed. I wonder how many of them are honest enough to admit it??????

You're right, parson...I do like you and glowy and barret and rvnut and inventthefuture and quite a few others....

But, I have found that posting my opinions, even if on such a civil forum as has been presented here and overseen by a reasonable individual such as yourself, wind up as ammunition for detractors on other boards...

But, for you, I will post this...in the public domain...

The press given to the company in the Baytown Sun and the North Channel Sentinel was very good to see...Everyone will view it differently...I viewed it as a positive development, particularly because it reached distribution to a new media outlet in The Sentinel.

It was also good to see Mr. Rivera make some public pronouncements about timelines. I am hopeful that in making such statements public, he will do everything possible to deliver on those timeframes or if conditions change (as no human can predict every bump in the road ahead), that investors will be kept officially informed by him.

Others will pick it apart...some for their own negative agendas...

Some will continue to have legitimate questions that will probably never be answered in a newspaper article.

While the L Sole' news is very important to major expansion, it (in my opinion) is crucial at this juncture (and I'm sure management knows this as well) for the company to commence production and sales at or near maximum capacity.

Even at or near maximum capacity, no one should expect the "fireworks display" in the share price in the near term based on 14,000 or 28,000 gallons/day (depending on whether production is occurring from two or four reactors) that investors (including myself) are ultimately expecting and as such, we should adjust our expectations for the near term, if we haven't already, accordingly.

But, it will provide a beginning and an end. The beginning is that once this event happens and the fuel is proven commercially viable as has been expected all along, the company will have passed the "line of demarcation". Anything will be possible (i.e. major expansion, new customers) beyond that point.

While some of that appears to be happening in the background (i.e. news of test blending with jet fuel with a carrier), it is just promising until announcements are made and solid revenues are being booked.

The end will be that the detractors (who I suspect will continue their negative agendas even after the line of demarcation has been passed) will have the "bubble" of their biggest argument burst. It is their flag of opposition that they continually plant to justify their position. What will be their argument once the fuel is being sold at larger and larger quantities? Well, I suppose I have left them debate points for now.

The question all along has been how and when Mr. Rivera will answer his detractors. And be sure, while the success of this venture is his first priority, it goes hand-in-hand with silencing his detractors or at best, making them irrelevant. I am, among others, waiting at the finish line.

You are correct, parson. Regardless of anyone's personal feelings about this company or its management, such companies, in my opinion, are vital to moving away from oil, particularly foreign oil. It won't happen overnight. There is no "switch" to be thrown. And it will most likely take efforts from more people and companies like John Rivera and Sustainable Power. But, John Rivera and Sustainable Power are probably closer than anyone else right now. We need them to succeed.

Why anyone, with or without a financial interest, would root against this endeavor is mind-boggling. Is it personal agenda? Are they the agents that proclaim change is NOT a good thing?

Whatever it is, the US cannot afford to languish particularly in the area of energy. There is just too much tied to it.

Rivera can't do it? Rivera won't do it? We had better hope he can. Not just for our wallets. We need them to succeed to be the first catalyst to move the US into the 21st century and energy independence. We should be ashamed that Brazil led this charge in the last century, nearly 30 years ago.

A lot of food for thought Mickeynu...

Some think that the newspapers are too small and "rinkydink" to matter and while that IS a possibility... bigger news services such as the AP and Reuters do pick up on stories like that from time to time. And someone earlier today pointed out those local papers are (probably) read by all the Big Boys who are our neighbors just down the road. That can't be a bad thing!

And regarding the timeline which several are already reducing to JR merely kicking the can down the road... I agree with the poster who pointed out all the people who have partnered with JR recently who have HUGE amounts of time, effort, and money into this venture now... a lot more than any of us have invested in it and as long as they're on board with this timeline, that's the main thing.

Speaking of all the good press from last week, here's a handy-dandy synopsis from Spec:

Thanks To Alstocks For His Reply...

I wondered in a recent post how many negative posters merely didn't think JR WOULD succeed vs those who actually DIDN'T WANT JR to succeed.... Alstocks replied (in part) via a P.M. he invited me to post.

Well, here's a part of it...
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"YES, 5 to 9 yrs ago, i so desperately wanted jr to succeed....

imo, now, i know that jr does not WANT too succeed himself....

he just wants to continue this charade in order to continue making money thru other means (legal or illegal).....

lsole, haiti, fseint, borneo.... they are legal companies that either have honest intentions with the wrong guy or they are desparately in need of money so they agree to be used by jr for a few press releases.....

(the honest companies end up suing jr, if u haven't noticed)

i assure u, in 6 mths to a yr... u will see the light....

lsole deal will collapse, fseint will collapse, haiti, etc... also....."

Well, since no contracts or signed yet and no products are brought to market YET... I must concede the POSSIBILITY that SSTP will NOT succeed.

But Al and I will have to leave things in the same place where Sparrow and I leave them... "We'll see.... we'll see...

Even though F'way has noted/enumerated plenty of legitimate negatives/obstacles to success, not even Fairway thinks it's a scam! Whatever the negatives, JR absolutely believes in his technology and believes that he can bring this little piggy to market.

Given the level of wealth he already has (a great deal), and the level of good health he has (not very much we fear), I don't think he's being personally motivated at this point. I think he wants to leave a legacy of success, not failure, and wants to be remembered for his contribution...
