Well, count me in. I enjoy the comfy zone also. Athough I'm strictly long I think both sides of the story is needed to a degree, but like the rest of you, I'm not interested in the name calling and constant bickering.

Time for some action

I am wanting to be a believer but there have been so many unfulfilled promises, changes in direction, leadership and dropped partnerships one has to wonder. How long can a carrot be extended in front of us saying success in just around the corner. Example: just wait until spring, then June, then 90 days, etc. I think it is time to demonstrate some proven legitimacy not in the product but in the company. How about a signed contract, proof of income or something. There are many things pointing to a lack of accountability with this company. Of course if you are on the pinksheets you don't have to be, however, if you are striving to improve your situation wouldn't you would want to be accountable to those who have invested their hard-earned money into your enterprise. A lack of accountablity demonstrates no concern for the shareholders. They haven't even updated the float since Nov 2007 as far as I know. I am not in the loup as some seem to be and of course all of this is only my opinion, but note that my opinion is shifting. Maybe some of the posters labeled as 'bashers' are only being a little more realistic than some want to give them credit for. I am ready for some action.

Perhaps he's in the background or still a part in some way, but he's not the CEO any longer.

We're in the same boat and not quite sure if we've broken into the calm, or have merely reached the eye of the storm...

I am as sure of this as Barrettjet is... that Baytown is extremely busy right now, and building/expanding daily. And I'm also convinced (anyone's free to disbelieve or be UN-convinced of course!) that they have more negotiating irons in the fire than they have currently disclosed.

So we just have to remember that neither Rome NOR Baytown was built in a day. I think realism has set in for most longs. If you want to make a quick buck, then follow the flipper's leads and make some money.

If you think there might be longer term reward, then flip some and keep some! Hedge your bets... do both.

Good luck mike!

I think 24,000/28,000 glns/day would have one heck of an effect on the pp's. The fact that we would be producing on a commercial scale albeit in small terms to the proposed production, it will be proven, up till now it is as far as the outside world is concerned unproven. We can shout out we are doing it, now doubt about it.

Happy days to come, in a bit of a hurry catch up later, gloworm

PS parson old chap I do like it here, such a nice comfy place you know.We should serve tea and biscuits some time or even some cucumber and lettuce sandwhiches. Could have it outside in the garden would'nt that be nice.

Am I tempting fate here or what? Take care guy's.
Glow,
Right you are concerning the commercial scale. I've read that 10,000,000 gpy biocrude is what is needed to be considered commercial size scale, if not exactly there, then we are so very close, plus, let's not forget about the fertilizer end of the deal and other types of products SSTP will be producing, I believe that would just about tip us up and over getting started. Besides, the rest of the buildup will soon follow. Thanks

Interesting question at the Village...

"Who is the biggest basher and pumper on this board?"

Not that I'm interested in answering the specific question viceroy wants answered, but I AM interested in contemplating definitions and concepts...

Can one be objective and, because of some rugged realities and real negatives, be pessimistic/negative about SSTP's chances of success? Even REAL pessimistic and negative, WITHOUT being a basher?

And can one be objective and, because of some real progress and real positives, be optimistic/positive about SSTP? Even REAL optimistic, without being a pumper?

I think the answer to both questions is yes.

I guess content of posts isn't the only (or even the BIGGEST) thing. Where does motivation enter in? It's huge!

The ones who are convinced Fairway's a basher and I'm a pumper have several things in common. First and foremost? They don't like us! Second, they don't trust us. Third, they are convinced (or at least fairly convinced) that we have some ulterior motive beyond what we're simply saying...

To entertain the possibility that we might be mistaken about someone's motivations, enables us to look at their posting a through a completely different lens... and maybe hear them for the first time.

If you decide to weigh in on this, please check any personal insults at the door... after all... IT'S HAPPY HOUR, CUCUMBER AND LETTUCE SANDWICHES ARE ON GLOWY!

I agree with you Parson. If you take the accusations and finger pointing out of the equation and try to understand what someone is trying to communicate you will be much better off and may actually learn to relate to someone in a postive way that thinks much different that yourself. Everyone has a unique communication style which can be interpreted in many different ways. There is a higher road to walk upon and the path up is to leave out trying to judge a persons motives and listen to what they are saying. Ignore personal insults and deal with the issue.

I wonder though, if oil shouldn't be included in 'renewable resources'. After all, it's reasonable to suppose that the earth's interior 'reactor' is continually renewing or recycling carbon into petroleum.

I know that's not a politically correct assumption but... that's why I think it has real merit!!!

Cheers and Jeers for June 23, 2008

To John Rivera, who claims to have the secret to fighting high gas prices the natural way. His company, Sustainable Power, has been in Baytown for some time, creating what they say is legitimate bio-fuel products, and the latest news is that their product will be at local gas stations within 90 days. By purchasing the soybean-based fuel, Rivera claims that drivers can save a dollar per gallon at the pump, a significant change from the creeping prices for regular gasoline. While there are skeptics out there, should this prove to be a success, then Rivera and crew have made a significant step toward limiting the country’s dependence on foreign oil. Here’s to hoping his plans come to fruition.
