The way I read it Malaysia will be a Baytown "mini" probably four reactor operation by the end of the summer 2008. A complete (20 reactor) plant will follow as soon as possible. They always put a time frame in the contract that gives them more than ample time to do the job with a cushion for unforseen problems. It will take time to produce the reactors and supporting parts and units.

Phase 2 calls for 20 reactors great stuff to start with.

Taking the figures for possible production of fuel from annual waste produced from palmoil production could be 17,325,000,000glns/year, working on a 360 days /year production, it would come out at 48,125,000 glns/day.

this level of production would need, using output of 1 reactor of 6000glns/day,

48,125,000 /6000 = 8020 reactors.

These figures are assuming access to all the waste biomass which is reasonable since they want to make use of biomass.When I firs played with the figures in previous post for fun I left out the tonnage for fronds and trunks. They are anticipating using wood chippings as well from their forestry workings. This would more than double the figures above.Also have not factured in the possibillity as mentioned the use of palm oil itself.
From what we know of using soybeans it could be possible to bye pass the oil extraction stage and use the fruit bunches directly. Palm oil production creates an incredable tonnage of efluent/tonne of palm as we know JR's process bless his cotton sock's, does not produce efluent.Therefore using fruit bunches direct would eliminate this waste efluent which must save tonnes of water as well.We must be in a win win situation.The not so long term looks so good with this deal alone.Even a small slice of the pie is good. I can only see the slice of pie getting bigger and bigger. Just like Desperate Dan's famous cow pie.I'm glad I have at least a tiny tiny slice of this one.

How did SSTP gain control of the catalyst when it was already being produced before SSTP was formed ?

My honest feelings is that USSE will be slowly left out of deals and will end up being a fertilizer producer in Natchez ( if anything is still there ) and 4 reactors in Baytown !

Who assembles them before they get shipped somewhere?
How much does each one cost?
USSE reactor? VS SSTP reactor? (reference FSIENT agreement)
How long does it take to fabricate, build install each reactor?

Algae as a biocrude feedstock: up to 15,800 gallon per acre yields in tests
The company recently tested algae as a feedstock, producing fuel at a rate of 166 gallons per ton of algae biomass, which equates to a yield of 15,800 gallons of fuel per acre of algae cultivation (per year) under optimum growing conditions, according to Oilgae.com. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the algae test produced jet aviation-quality fuel. There have been increasing reports of airline interest in biocrude as a jet fuel, although no formal tests have yet been announced.

this comes out to approx 5 gallons per 60 lb bushel about the same as the soybeans.
