KaboomStocks President visits with Hybrid Technologies Inc.
Mooresville, North Carolina.
On June 10th, 2008 I met with Tom Zgoda Facilities Manager around 3pm with a very warm and cheerful welcome. We discussed many aspects of the company before he took me on a tour of the plant and its facilities.
I brought a list of questions from our community, KaboomStocks.com its staff & QualityStock.net staff that I left with Tom to forward to the appropriate personnel to answer. When I receive approval to release these answers I will update our community ASAP.
What I can disclosure at this time goes as follows. The main shop to the plant was very organized, clean, high tech, around 40,000 square ft. I was also informed they are in the process of renovating an 5,000 sq ft section of plant which its purpose will be disclosed at a later date.
The moral was very high and positive and I felt right at home.
I met with many employees with various automotive experiences at the highest level.
They are in a constant state of doing testing and upgrade to further their advancement on a daily basis. They seemed very proactive and aware of their goals and how it would unfold to benefit in the future of the company.
They are on a fast track for placement of quality individuals from colleges and experienced individuals geared towards this technology. In an effort to bring in the best trained personnel, they have implemented a section on their site for employment opportunities.
Tom took me for a spin in an electric BMW Mini Cooper which was my first time riding in this model of car. I was really surprised at the speed from a stand sill and at cruising speed of 45-65 around town it was very smooth. It was just like I have seen in their video coverage. We didn’t go on the highway at this time.
Tom proceeded to pulled over and let me at the wheel! It was even more thrilling driving than being a passenger. I was taken back at the response when I just barely touched the throttle. In short, IT WAS FAST! As I’m streaming down the road, air conditioning blasting with cool air and the outside temperature around 100 degrees, hot and humid, we had no problem with the car performance. The best part was driving past the gas stations and the feeling of never needing gas again @ $4.00+ per gallon and rising made the drive even better!
We finished up at the plant with more conversation of the future of the company and some chat about Tom’s background in the automotive field in NY where he retired at a young age of 55 after 35 years of service for Ford. I myself worked at GM for a number of years in the engineering field so we had very similar backgrounds that carried out our last ˝ hour of talks.
Hybrid Technologies Inc. is also located in the heart of race city with NASCAR Hall of Fame right down the road and Roush Motors 2 blocks away in Mooresville, North Carolina.
The company is, in my opinion, one for the future that will make a serious contender towards the way we drive and use all sorts of Lithium powered transportation for a long time to come.
More to come from KaboomStocks.com from this fine establishment in the very near future.
Here are some pictures we toke while at the plant.
