When choosing between organic and conventionally grown foods, it's hard to know which is more nutritious. Although the dilution effect suggest that fruits and vegetables hold on to a fixed number of cells no matter how large they grow, more research must be done to determine if this is caused by the effects of higher plant yields or another explanation. Along with that theory, several studies have shown that when fertilizers are used to increase crop yield unnaturally, the overall yield increases but the nutrients do not, leaving the question between organic and conventional as the better choice still unanswered.
